BEIJING, Feb. 17 -- China's Ministry of Education has asked heads of nurseries, primary schools and high schools to receive at least 16 hours of training on managing campus safety.
According to a circular issued recently by the ministry, the training covers relevant laws, regulations
, policies and preparedness for accidents and emergencies.
The training may be carried out in various ways, including in real classrooms or through distance education systems.
The ministry also ordered primary and high school teachers to go through drills to deal with campus emergencies.
